Imagine you’re in debt up to your ears.  Then ponder the fact you’re continuing to spend 40 percent more than you’re taking in.  Any sense of your future prosperity potentials?  So it is with our government.  There’s lots of hand wringing, but very little responsibility.  Our Senate was unable to cut 20 billion from a 10 year 770 billion food stamp budget.  Under Bush and Obama we’ve doubled the number of people on food-stamps.  In the nineties our politicians, Republicans and Democrats alike, boasted about taking people off welfare.  Now, Obama’s bragging about doing the opposite.  Since 2008, we’ve gone from 28 million to 45 million on food stamps. Anyone believing making people more dependent on politicians is a good thing doesn’t read history.  Dependency is a trap leading to loss of liberty and opportunity.  You trap people much the same way you trap an animal – by putting food in the trap.  Conservatives should resist taking this bait.
